Travel tips to Asia

1.Travel light. Bring long pants and long shirts incase you are visiting religious places such as mosques. Women are required to wear head scarf. Bring a jacket incase it might get chilly.Umbrella is good too.

2.If you are back packing, decide on good shoes. There are plenty of flip flop in asia so don't bother bringing from your home. If you plan to hit some clubs, some places might not care much like if you are at the beach, but if you are hitting the city, you might require to wear casual clothes - no shorts for guys.

3.Bring your own medication especially if you are on holiday near the beach. They might not have pharmacy or such and if you suddenly have an astma attack, you definitely depend on your inhalers.

4.Depending where you are going, make sure you get some shots against malaria or anything that would make you feel safer before travelling.

5.Bring Euros, USD or GBP.These are acceptable currencies in Asia. Make sure you change your money at the airport or anywhere in town before heading off to rural areas.

5. Hand sanitizer/baby wipes and toilet rolls. You don't have to bring it, but it would be great if you get the opportunity to buy when you arrive.

6. Insect repellent. There are always mosquitos around. Depending where you might go at night, bringing some of those roll on insect repellent never hurt anyone. And there are always mosquito nets sold in rural area.

7. Oh yes, staying on islands can be expensive.Buy whatever you need from the mainland before heading of the islands.

8. Drink mineral bottled water or boiled only.

You can buy most things listed above in the visiting country itself. You don't have to bring loads of stuff unless you are going partying on a yacht and wearing high heels or prada shoes etc. You can always shop for them at the shopping malls in the city anyway.

Have fun!
